Every woman wants to have perfectly smooth and youthful skin without a single wrinkle. Over the years, the aging process of the skin becomes more and more active, so it quickly loses its elasticity and firmness. Fractional laser rejuvenation will help restore the quality of the skin. During the procedure, the thermal effect activates cell growth, ensures the production of collagen fibers and the removal of the dead skin layer.
Operating principle
Fractional laser rejuvenation - what is it? Thus, experts call skin renewal using the high temperature provided by the laser beam. The principle of operation of the technique is similar to laser resurfacing, but it has a deeper effect and possible complex results. The apparatus for the procedure is small in size, equipped with photocells that ensure the penetration of the laser beam into the tissues. The specialist applies the device very quickly on the patient's skin, otherwise burns may occur.
Species
Experts distinguish between ablative and non-ablative types of laser fractional rejuvenation. Ideally, a combination of both types of exposure is recommended.
ablative type
Non-surgical facelift using the ablative type helps to restore the dead layer of skin cells. This option allows you to eliminate the first signs of aging. The skin-affecting procedure activates the growth of healthy new cells, tightens the skin, evens out its tone, and smooths mimic wrinkles.
non-ablative type
A non-ablative type of laser rejuvenation is used for irreversible skin changes. This option allows to affect the deep layers, eliminate pathological processes in the skin, help cell regeneration and the formation of the membrane frame, activates the production of collagen fibers.
Indications
- Sagging, drooping of the skin;
- Presence of pigmentation, acne, enlarged pores;
- The presence of scars, rosacea (spider veins), striae (stretch marks);
- The presence of facial wrinkles, "crow's feet" around the eyes.
Contraindications
Experts do not recommend laser rejuvenation in the following cases:
- The presence of allergic reactions, skin infections;
- The presence of inflammation in the planned area of influence, psoriasis;
- epilepsy;
- The presence of malignant tumors in the planned area of influence.
Preparation period
Before fractional rejuvenation, it is necessary to stop:
- A course of antibiotic treatment based on tetracyclines;
- use of cosmetics containing alcohol;
- Visiting beaches, solariums (refusing to sunbathe a few weeks before the procedure).
How is it done?
All manipulations within the framework of laser rejuvenation are performed under local anesthesia. During the procedure, the patient may feel discomfort. The whole process takes about half an hour.
During the operation of the device, special protective glasses are in front of the patient's eyes. Remember: the level of exposure and the intensity of the procedure are selected individually by a specialist for each patient. The course mainly consists of 7 sessions. It is enough to smooth out even deep scars and eliminate most wrinkles.
Effects
Immediately after fractional rejuvenation, the patient experiences pain even with the use of painkillers and drugs. After about 3 hours, the skin becomes red and slightly swollen (swelling is maximum on the 2nd day), especially in the area of the nose, around the eyes and on the upper eyelids. To reduce swelling, you need to drink diuretics and reduce the amount of salty foods.
On the second day, copious amounts of ichor discharge and the appearance of a hardened crust towards the end of the day (it is forbidden to touch it, and trying to remove it is fraught with infection and the appearance of scars). After a while, it will become softer and go away on its own (using products that restore the skin will help with this).
After about a week, the swelling on the face stops, but the light pink color of the skin remains for about a month. When going outside, the use of compounds with a sun protection factor (at least SPF 30) is required, vitamin intake is recommended. It is forbidden to sunbathe and use abrasive products (scrub, peeling, gommage).
Usually, after 3-6 months, the specialist appoints a second session, and all the results must be transferred again.
